If premises is unable to be accessed The Poolice – To Collect And Serve will attempt to contact the client to unlock the gate. If client is unable to unlock the gate The Poolice – To Collect And Serve will attempt to schedule a make-up day. If The Poolice – To Collect And Serve is not able to assign a make-up day, the client will be charged 100% of the usual service charge as double the waste = double the time.
In the event of weather-related service disruptions, The Poolice – To Collect And Serve understands that weather conditions are beyond anyone’s control—it’s not your fault, and it’s not ours. That said, dog waste continues to accumulate, and when we return, there's often twice as much to clean. This results in double the time and effort required for your service.
Rescheduled Pickups Due To Weather:
Weekly Clients: Will be rescheduled later on in the week. Every effort will be made to reschedule before any charge is applied. If rescheduling is not feasible, a 75% charge will be incurred. This charge accounts for the accumulation of dog waste between pickups due to inclement weather. More waste means more time. This charge accounts for the extra time required to handle the doubled accumulation of waste.
Biweekly Clients: Will be rescheduled to later in the week or the following week.
The 24-48 Hour Snow Rule:
Even when it snows, the dogs keep pooping—so we keep scooping! If it’s been 24–48 hours since the last snowfall, we’ll be there to scoop up what’s visible. Light flurries or a small dusting usually don’t cover the yard enough to matter, so they don’t affect that window and we’ll still be out. Once the snow melts, we’ll scoop up anything left behind at no extra charge. Whether we collect two bags or three after the thaw, your regular weekly or biweekly price stays the same!
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work around unpredictable weather while continuing to provide dependable and thorough service.
We understand that schedules change. However, dog waste continues to accumulate, and additional time is often required if service is skipped without the yard being scooped. Below is our policy regarding skipped pickups:
Skip Policy:
Weekly Clients: If you are a weekly client and need to skip a scheduled pickup, we will reschedule for a different day. If we are unable to reschedule, a 100% charge will be incurred unless you scoop the yard yourself. We kindly ask that you notify us the day before your scheduled pickup so we can plan accordingly. If the service is rescheduled, there will be no fee. If you choose to scoop the yard yourself, there will be no charge.
Biweekly Clients: If you are a biweekly client and need to skip a scheduled pickup, we will reschedule for the following week. If you skip a second time in a row, or cannot be rescheduled for the next week, the next visit will be charged at double the regular rate to account for one month’s worth of waste.
*If you choose to pick up the waste during the skipped period, no additional charges will be applied. Please note, we keep general records of past visits to help us estimate the usual amount of waste. If it appears the yard hasn’t been scooped, a 100% charge will apply.*
*If we skip due to vacation, illness, or other reasons on our end, you will not be charged.*
If there is a period when your pet(s) will not use the yard due to vacation, illness, or any other reason, and you do not want to be charged for any unnecessary visits, please inform us in advance so we can temporarily pause the service at no charge.
(In case of a pause lasting longer than one month and the yard is not maintained, an initial pickup charge will be applied when service resumes)
Billing payment method is automatically processed through Sweep and Go on the next day. (Example, if pickup is on Monday your card will be charged on Tuesday) A receipt will be emailed to you. It is agreed to by the parties to the service agreement that payment is due 24 hours after your scheduled pickup. The Service Provider shall submit an invoice to the Client every visit. Invoices shall be paid 24 hours after your scheduled pickup. If you are paying cash or using payment apps (e.g., Cash App, PayPal, Venmo), payment is due before we begin scooping. Service will not start until payment has been received. Preferably, pay in full for the month so we don’t have to chase it down.
Payment for all accounts is expected within 24 hours after your scheduled pickup, unless otherwise specified in the invoice. The Poolice – To Collect And Serve will make up to two payment collection attempts per week until the outstanding balance is resolved, unless the client has informed us about an alternative payment arrangement. If no payment is received by the next scheduled scooping, the service will be immediately suspended, and a Late Fee of $10.00 will be added to your current invoice. Service will resume upon receipt of full payment. Any account that remains unpaid after 90 days will be subjected to legal action and/or transferred to our collection agency. The client will be responsible for any fees incurred during the collection process.
Accounts that are more than 90 days delinquent will be subject to a $75 late fee. We understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances can arise, and we are happy to work with you to find a solution. However, please be aware that we must keep contacting you for payment for a period of 90 days, after which we may have to pursue other measures to collect the outstanding balance.
